Betty Was the Center of All the Jokes

Over the last 3 years Betty had been the center of all the jokes. Everyone, including family would make fun of Betty, because unknown to others she could not hear or understand the conversations that took place around her. Terri’s Hearing Neglect Leads to Child Neglect

Terri is a single mom with teenage children. She had never worn hearing aids before or even been tested for hearing loss. Terri recalls that she began to realize she might have a hearing problem because it had become increasingly more difficult to understand her kids, plus they also complained she always had the television too loud. After slowly becoming detached from her children over the years, she realized that it was because of her inability to hear them. As a result, their grades began to suffer and behavioral issues started to become a real problem. Terri herself was also beginning to suffer from depression and anxiety.

Terri finally came to PūrTone after searching Google and learning more about hearing health from our web site, which highlighted other difficulties she also was experiencing. Her hearing test revealed significant loss and she knew she had to stop neglecting her hearing. Terri was soon fitted with her new digital hearing devices in her favorite blue color. My Hearing Aids Have Paid for Themselves!

In January, we received a note from Tom that stated, “My PūrTone Hearing Devices have been ‘paid back’ to me in a wonderful way.” Tom purchased his new hearing devices from PūrTone last fall, but the real benefit to him occurred at the end of the year after taking down his Christmas decorations. While Tom was in the garage boxing everything up to store away until next year, he “heard a tingling sound from amidst a bunch of boxes.” When he looked down, he saw that his wedding ring (which had fallen off his finger) had hit the garage floor. He quickly reflected back to over 40 years ago when he was in the U.S. Air Force and lost the same ring while relocating to a new assignment. After accepting that it was lost for good, it appeared six months later on his living room floor while unpacking.

Thinking about how fortunate he was this time, Tom added, “I absolutely would not have heard the high frequency sound had I not had my new hearing devices…and could very likely have lost my ring during the sweeping up of the trash.” Upon seeing the ring on the floor after hearing it drop thanks to better hearing, he told his wife, “My hearing aids have paid for themselves!”

Dolly Wanted Invisible Hearing

I think you guys are treating us great! I went to another place before I came hear and they let me try the hearing aids. They didn't even check my ears. My right ear was totally plugged with wax. I even went to my personal Dr. & his nurse couldn't clear it. I came in to PurTone & your staff cleared out my ear. I bought my hearing aids hear.
